WSL2 resets storage location for Docker Desktop after clean up

Question

I use Docker-Desktop and WSL2 on a Windows 10 VM. I used the following guide to change the storage location for Docker Desktop to another location.

How can I change the location of docker images when using Docker Desktop on WSL2 with Windows 10 Home?

Everything works, but if i use "Clean/purge data" in Docker Desktop the location is reset. Is there an option to fix the change ?
