We use the Cookiebot on our website, which has worked fine for a few months. We got all the traffic from the website streaming into GA4.
We implemented the Cookiebot using the Cookiebot CMP tag in Google Tag Manager.
When we launched a few campaigns to bring traffic to the website, we did not see the traffic from the campaigns in the first few days, so we stopped the campaigns temporarily.
We decided to stop the Cookiebot, and the day after, we relaunched the campaigns. We started to see traffic on the website 36 hours after we stopped the Cookiebot and less than a day after we relaunched the campaigns.
The Organic traffic was not affected by the stop of the Cookiebot.
I try to understand if the Cookiebot is the factor that blocks the traffic or if there are other factors I still need to include.
I tried to remove the Cookiebot temporarily, and I tried to examine the cookiebot implementation.
The traffic from the campaign is now available in GA4, but I cannot isolate the factor that blocked it.
Thank you
