Got a flex container with 2 flex items inside - select the component and a text component. Both of them have a flex-basis: 50% property. But when I tried to resize the screen, I got shrink correct before selecting the item width will not the same as the selected option width, after the text component started to shrink and select component still same width as option value. Why this behavior happens and how to fix it?

I have tried fullwidth property for select but it is not working as well. I want to have similar percentage width for both elements at any resolutions. Also I want to know what is the problem of it and how to fix it
