In the MSCHAP module it says "Note that you MUST have "winbindd" and "nmbd" running on the local machine for ntlm_auth to work. See the ntlm_auth program documentation for details." Does it mean you must have it installed and configured? Or do I only need to have it installed?
I installed it, updated the MSCHAP module to point to ntlm_auth but I am getting the following error:
mschap: ERROR: Program returned code (1) and output 'Reading winbind reply failed! (0xc0000001)'
mschap: ERROR: Reading winbind reply failed! (0xc0000001)
mschap: Authentication failed
I expected a valid response
