With the way I have my computer setup, my C: drive only holds windows, and all of my git repositories are on my D: drive. Recently, I encountered an issue that forced me to reinstall windows. Prior to doing so, I unplugged my D: drive to ensure no data was wiped from it. However, now when I try to run a command, I am greeted with a message: "fatal: detected dubious ownership in repository at 'D:/Coding//'".

Although I could make an exception for the specific repository, I am instead asking if there is any other way to resolve this - such as, if possible, logging back in as the old owner? Although I am signed into my git account, it shows a different ID for the logged in user.

'D:/Coding//' is owned by: 'S-1-5-21-***********-90601764-3861515875-1003' but the current user is: 'S-1-5-21-**********-3997988351-940222996-1001'

I tried making sure I was signed into my github account and that my gitconfig was setup correctly, to no avail.
