I am using the imagemap in HTML, and for each area of the image, hovering it shows its title. The tooltip that exhibits the title, however, is already configurated. I would like to know if there is a way to create this configurations myself, perhaps with CSS.

I already tried several ways to try to select this standard tooltip with CSS selectors, but none has worked yet.

  • You can't, that is rendered by the browser/OS, and not a thing you have direct control over. The duplicate suggests alternatives using pseudo elements - but for normal links, those probably won't work for `area` elements. – CBroe Jul 04 '23 at 07:20
