How do you replace | with \n in sublime?

I'm trying to replace | with \n so every appearance of \ should be a new line. I already tried doing replace in sublime, but it looks like every character is getting a new line. For example, I had this line

1235978|text

and I'd want this want to be

1235978
text

but it actually returned

Any help is appreciated!

I don't know Sublime but **Find what: `\|`** and **Replace with: `\n`** might work – Ted Lyngmo Aug 22 '23 at 16:44
