I wanted to know how exactly the ssl exchange process happen in WMQ. Terminologies i know are . Keystore , truststore and ca certs files. and we have a keytool utility which we use to run the scripts. Can anyone please explain which file(Keystore , truststore, ca certs) is shared between the servers and what configurations are changed when updating the server.

one more scenario if client has selfsigned certificate . how it is updated in server for qm

  • It's the same everywhere, not specific to WMQ. And it is a certificate exchange, not a key exchange. Too broad and many duplicates. – user207421 Sep 02 '23 at 07:29
  • Does this answer your question? [What must be contained in the keystores/truststores for mutual authentication?](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/23547418/what-must-be-contained-in-the-keystores-truststores-for-mutual-authentication) – user207421 Sep 02 '23 at 07:29
  • [Secure communication between IBM MQ endpoints with TLS](https://developer.ibm.com/tutorials/mq-secure-msgs-tls/) is a good guide. – JoshMc Sep 02 '23 at 14:45
