Working on an svn'ed project with assets like:

  • .psd (super heavy)
  • .png
  • .swf
  • .xfl (something hyped to make collaboration easier)

As you can guess, it's a Flash project. I need the swfs, because i want non-developers on the project to have access to the last build. Because the project has just started, things change quite a lot, and each commit of even the smallest change (of xfl-assets at least) pushes 1+mb into the svn. I'm currently at 10/1000 mbs, but i feel that as soon as .psds come into play, i'll have to boost this limit to gigs.

Any ideas?

  • i tested psd and some largest files, the svn works so good. please consider the subversion will compare the working copy to repo, and it will take some times – pylover Mar 26 '12 at 11:22
  • But the comparison will be done locally, so network is not the problem here, but horse power of the machine you are working on. – mliebelt Mar 26 '12 at 19:15
