A few examples of anti-cheat software are DMW Anticheat, GameGuard, PunkBuster, VAC, ProtectEnviron, ShoxGuard, CleanDoD, XRay, xTrap, HackShield, Warden or BattlEye. The Terms of Service for many games directly prohibits cheating activity.
