Emacspeak is a Emacs Lisp package that adds speech feedback to Emacs. It is used primarily by blind and vision impaired users of Emacs on Linux and OSX/macOS platforms. Emacspeak requires a software or hardware text-to-speech synthesizer. The package supports a number of synthesizers, including the espeak software synthesizer.

A number of the modules bundled inside Emacspeak have proven to be useful for general users. In particular, the g-client module which provides interfaces to a number of google apps and the epub reader, which uses Emacs eww.

Emacs network keyboard

I would like to access Emacs on my computer using my android phone. Output would be Emacspeak server on my phone. What would be the best way to stream keyboard events from phone to Emacs?

Emacspeak for those who aren't visually impaired

Is anybody who's not visually impaired using Emacspeak? Are there any tasks for which it is particularly well-suited and more efficient than a visual interface?
