About
Google API is a collection of APIs that allow for interaction with Google Services. They have been developed by Google, most are free to use. There are a few of the APIs that Google will charge you to use.
The older Google APIs are referred to as GData APIs (Google Data APIs) a list of GData APIs can be found in the GData API Directory. A number of these APIs have been deprecated. GData APIs return data in XML format.
Discovery APIs are the newer REST APIs that return data in JSON format.
