I'm just a simple developer that enjoys solving problems and finding solutions using programming, especially when the solution helps other people. For example, one problem that a lot of students including my self faced during my time at University, was exclusion, which I'm sure a lot of developers may face. So there wasn't enough students interacting with each other and we were all pretty introverted, well at least 180 out of 200 of us were pretty introverted, in my opinion at least.

So a solution was the good old computing society, though it did exist, it just was never properly maintained, so I took it over and alongside the funding from the BCS, I alongside other committee members, hosted a range of 18+ events over the course of my second year. These events ranged from programming workshops, hackathons, penetration testing boot camps and more.

The mentioned solution might not seem like a programming one, however I used group programming to get students involved and interact with each other. Since then, a lot of students have been collaborating and interacting with one other, including the professors too.
