I have over 50 years of software development experience. I have been both an implementer, a systems engineer, and a manager on projects focusing on design, implementation, testing, and delivery. I am now trying to learn java, javascript, knockout.js, mysql, and php. I am finding in a slow go, because I have been retired for about 10 years and things have moved.

However, I am impressed by the design and resources available to me in the Netbeans platform and by the way the programming paradigm has matured.
