I am a retired IT professional and was mainly involved in startups in the retail grocery space. I have run development teams as well as built analytic processes for big data (market basket).

Over the past 20 years I have been doing pro bono work for local non-profits and churches, as well as a couple of small private businesses. Most of this work has been around implementing workflow applications designed to improve data quality and reduce data entry.

Much of my early work was done in MS Access as it was pretty ubiquitous and "free". I have one inventory management system that has been running for 16+ years (still in MS Access). I have tried to migrate to MySQL using PHP/JS/Ajax and have had some success building new applications on this architecture.

My Holy Grail is to figure out how to provide an integrated environment similar to the Form/Subform capability of Access using open source tools.
