I currently work as an IT and Bioinformatics technician at Laboratory of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health (FMVZ-USP) through a grant funded by FAPESP (Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo). My activities include the development and management of a database and web pages with information from epidemiological studies to support health decision-making and the consequent implementation of public policies in Brazil. Furthermore, I also assist in bioinformatic analysis of genomic data. Main work tools: JQuery, CSS, HTML, Python, Django and Linux.

I am part of the research group Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics of the USP, where I act as a collaborator with RNA classifiers development and the evaluation methodology improvement.

Have experience in the field of Bioinformatics, with emphasis on the development and evaluation of coding/noncoding RNA classifiers based on supervised learning: - Machine learning; - Analysis of Big Data; - SQL queries in databases; - Automation and monitoring of multiple parallel processes; - Has acquired good knowledge in Perl, R and Linux (bash).

My master degree dissertation was about the comparison of two methods of validation (time and traditional) using the evaluation of coding/noncoding RNA classifiers of the state-of-the-art in the research area. In additional, the creation of new models classification based on the algorithms of induction SVM and Random Forest.

I had a research funding of two Scientific Initiation Projects (PIBIC), by the Pernambuco Foundation of Science and Technology Support (FACEPE) and UNIVASF.

I also worked as teacher of Science and Informatics in private education.
