I've spent 30 years in the IT industry (ie. from suitcase-sized 80 MB disks until now) working with Unix/Linux on the system side; many languages (C/C++, korn/bash, Perl, Python, javascript, Ruby) on the developer side; with a wide spectrum of hardware, networking tools, virtualisation environments, databases, applications and dozens of interface tools on the 'everything else' side.
