I am a UI developer and UX designer currently working on a long-term, large-scale UI for expert users monitoring complex scientific data in real time. I currently spend most of my time using Typescript, React, Apollo/GraphQL, Node, and SCSS for a SAFE Agile project.

I am passionate about building user friendly, elegant interfaces. I focus on accessibility and try to follow Universal Design principles. I consider this to include everything from branding to animation to page speed optimization.

I also have a background in graphic design, fine art, and used to be a high school teacher (Physics, Math, Biology, Art, Robotics). I'm equally comfortable coding in Typescript/React, designing in Adobe XD, Illustrator and Photoshop, and interviewing a user to gain a greater insight into their motivations and needs.
