I am a software developer. I started in the early 80's on a Kaypro CP/M computer writing Z80 assembler. I have worked in Pascal, Basic, COBOL, C, C++, Java, and as of 2019, Swift, across platforms such as CP/M, MS-DOS, MVS, OS/2, Unix, and MacOS/iOS. I spent most of my career in large corporations but am now working small and independent. I also am a bit of an amateur backyard astronomer. I enjoy working astronomy manually, with paper charts and manual scopes; after a day of software development, an evening under the stars with a scope and a star chart can be nice.
