I have degrees is mathematics, business IT, and education, but my responsibilities before becoming a full-time educator and my skills have always leaned toward IT/computing, particularly automation of routine tasks.
I believe that computers do not take the jobs of people. Rather they free up labor to focus on problems for which computers are not suitable human replacements. It has always been my intention to give computers only those tasks for which they are better suited, e.g., data extraction, compiling, and reformatting, with, of course, computing (calculation).
