I have PhD in the field of Byzantine musicology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Even though I was introduced to music from a very young age, I was introduced in computer programming later in my teenage years. The opportunity arose when in school I took the class “Application development in programming environments”, where became fascinated by the beauty of algorithms. Musically literate in two different notations since the age of 12, I received my Diploma in Byzantine Music (with Honours) during my third year at university. Having completed my degree in Computer Science at the University of Piraeus my focus returned to my first love: music.
