Being homeschooled, all the programming I learned was by myself and from books, magazines, and, of course, the Internet. My speciality is starting projects and not finishing them. Most of my programming is currently just for fun, for friends, or services for the SSS economy.
I know Python, love Perl, am interested in Rust, and just getting started with NativeScript. I've done mini web projects with Python, Flask, and MongoDB (and HTML/CSS/JS, of course). Right now I'm working on my first Android app, Growlet, to organise my book collection—and plan to add social features via XMPP.
I'm something of an expert at getting things running with slow and patchy Internet. (The downside is, my coding progress is slow and patchy too). I want to contribute to open-source projects some time, but am yet to work up the right combination of skill and confidence.
I also write. You can read some of my latest here on Medium.
