I am a sophomore at Amity University pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology. I am fascinated by technology and have a keen interest in building applications.
My journey in computer science started with a C++ elective in school, which introduced me to programming.
Over the summer, prior to my sophomore year, I learned Django and Android Development. Since then, I have built various applications and started contributing to Open Source. I have written REST-APIs using the Django Rest Framework. I also have experience in server-hosting using Nginx and building asynchronous applications using Django Channels.
In my second year, I got interested in Competitive Programming. I have completed a few MOOCs online including Algorithms I & II by Robert Sedgewick. I really enjoy solving problems on CodeChef, CodeForces and reading about the real-world applications of Data Structures and Algorithms. Right now, I am exploring the field of Web & Android Development .
I have worked on multiple solo & team-projects, and on the way picked up important skills like team-coordination and leadership. I developed an Android app which helped people maintain social distancing during COVID-19 pandemic.
I enjoy analyzing situations, looking at things with different perspectives and having long thoughtful conversations with friends. Currently, I am taking courses in Modern History and Sociology, that are helping me sharpen my critical thinking powers.
My aim is to be able to fully understand the problems different groups are facing in the world and come up with solutions to help them.
