I completed my PhD in biotechnology in 2018 from Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I studied West Nile virus transmission dynamics in southern Ontario and the ecology of invasive mosquito species.
I am currently completing my post-doc at the University of Florida - IFAS, Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory where I am working with a large data set (~1.5 million rows of data) derived from mosquito surveillance counts from 3 Florida counties across 14 years. I am interested in investigating spatial synchrony, seasonality, and the influence of environmental variables on mosquito abundance and diversity.
