I have spent most of my career in a niche Sales Management role in London but, when my wife was pregnant with our daughter in 2013, I started to get interested in technology - to broaden my longer term career options but particularly in how I could automate some of the more manual admin I spent time doing to measure KPIs, generate leads for my team to call and other such things.

Starting out writing VBA macros and array formulae in spreadsheets, I progressed to connecting my spreadsheets to the SQL databases behind our operating systems, and in more recent times I have become interested in Python and object oriented languages, such as C# and Java.
