Currently reading Max Tegmark's 'Mathematical Universe' which raises some math questions I need help with.

I belong to the Martin Perl (Nobel for discovery of the tau-lepton) and we often read books with subtle math issues that are not expounded that well, i.e., I'm likely to need more help.
