I am currently a software developer working in Public Safety. I have 30 years of experience developing and maintaining business application software.

I started out as a computer operator and worked my way up to a COBOL programmer in the mainframe world, developing COBOL/DB2 and COBOL/IMS batch and online programs.

Today, I work mostly with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net, developing VB Windows Form applications with the occasional Silverlight and ASP.Net Web application thrown into the mix. I also develop reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Data Dynamics Active Reports.

In addition to Visual Basic and COBOL, I also work with MVC C# Applications, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Node.js (Express and EJS), Lotus Notes (LotusScript), Adobe ActionScript, AJAX, JQuery, ADO.Net, and SQL.

As a hobby, I also enjoy developing games with Adobe Flash CS5/AS3, creating animation with Toon Boom Animation, and building websites.
