Hi,
I'm a former AV-Technician with more than 13 years experience in the entertainment industry who stranded in Vietnam 3 years ago and ended up teaching English at a local high school.
I have always been fond of everything technology related but didn't have a clue about coding.
This changed at the beginning of this year as I, as well as so many others these days, found myself stuck at home with too much time.
I came across a video on youtube which sparked my interest and soon I spent my entire days in front of the screen researching.
I eventually started a curriculum offered at freecodecamp.org and was able to obtain two certificates thus far.
I never knew I would like coding this much, I feel almost addicted to it.
Its like leveling up in a computer game just more rewarding. The more I learn though the more I feel like I don't know anything. I sometimes feel a bit torn in regards to what to learn next, as there is just soo much content out there.
I am 35 years old and basically started coding 4 months ago - if you consider writing html coding.
Weirdly, I love design just as much as coding but read that these so-called "unicorns" aren't that popular among developers.
I really just do this because I like it and not because I'm trying to get a well-paid job in the industry. If it was about money I'd do something else...this is definitely not the fastest way anyway.
Thanks for passing by.
Cheers
