I'm doing research at IIT Madras. In my lab, we use MATLAB to do our regular analysis like estimating parameters of a model equation or optimizing a model equation to improve the predictability etc. but as everyone knows it's a licensed software and everyone cannot have it. For this purpose, I'm learning Python, which, is a freeware for the same concept.
