Part-development, part management I run my own electronics research company, design software for web and embedded designs - as well as holiday a holiday rental and spending the rest of the time being IT Director for the Federation of Small Businesses.

I live in the northeast of England with my wife and cats (www.scargill.org) and in the summer head off to our place in Spain (www.bedrock.es).

I've been interested electronics since my first Philips electronics kit at around the age of 8 and the web since running a successful bulletin board in the '80s (remember the midnight line).

Current interests include the Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects (if Farnell would only stop messing about with CE and actually deliver the things). I'm currently working on an effective and reliable ethernet control base for Arduino projects for a host of developments including a relay board, thermostat, sad light and more. All good fun, not enough time.
