I started iOS programming in October 2011 from scratch. I did LabView programming for 2 years as a test engineer and some MS-Access database programming, keeping the focus on usability (as such that users like using the programs/databases). With the iPad1 I entered the iOS world and was surprised about the "works out of the box"-approach of apple products. I soon bought me an iPod for on the road, and when the iPad2 arrived, I handed the 1 down to my wife. A little after that, I wanted to not just consume but rather create. So I started learning objective-C to such an amount that I could start programming for the iPhone. I'm not there yet, but I'm getting close to finishing my first project.
