I am a PhD candidate at Maynooth University in Ireland. My PhD topic is meteorological radar. In which I am using Python and R as the main languages to processing meteorological radar and rainfall gauge data.

During my PhD, I had the opportunity to be part of the winner team (Teagasc) of the prize "Farming by Satellite" 2018. As well, I am developing new skills in teaching and programming. I was a first years tutor, and know I am a 2nd-year demonstrator in the geography department. I am taking modules that can help to develop my programming skills.

My background is in Geography, and it wasn't until I studied a master's in G.I.S. and remote sensing where I had my first contact with programming world. I felt intimidated, but I saw how beneficial this new skill could be, and I went for it! So I used programming on my Master's Thesis to facilitate my Landsat multitemporal analysis of crops. As a result of this project, I could continue my internship in the Spanish National Research Councill for more few months.

After all, I got a job as a researcher in the Climate Group in the Geography department of Zaragoza's University. Between my tasks were: tester of quality control of climatological variables, spatial analysis, and climate data rescue. At that time, I decided to study R and stats, as well, I did English and Portuguese languages exams.
