Work alongside product, design, revenue and editorial colleagues to deliver the best experience for your partners, clients and business. Write HTML, CSS and JavaScript for display advertising creatives, small websites and special projects based on provided wireframes, assets and client direction. Create custom animations using Javascript and CSS, both native and using libraries. (jQuery/GSAP). Make small scale alterations and customizations to existing template code. Debug and QA client-side JavaScript across internal and external sites and many devices using both in-house and browser development tools. Common issues involve object and DOM manipulation, event handling, asynchronous requests, and iframe message sending. Scope your solutions appropriately in order to meet (sometimes tight) deadlines. Contribute to existing in-house front-end JavaScript libraries and web applications, sometimes using modern client-side frameworks. Utilize available documentation and contribute to writing new documentation where it is needed. Attend daily scrum/status update calls. Actively track and communicate task status using project management systems (Asana and Jira). Communicate often and efficiently with teammates via Slack, video calls (Zoom), project management systems (Asana/Jira) and email. Be a part of a thoughtful and energetic engineering team at Vox. Have fun tackling challenges and learning within a diverse team of Engineers, Designers, Project Managers and Campaign Managers.
