Twenty years ago, at the time of needle printers and fax machines, I was lucky enough to choose my path in an area which has wide horizons and massive possibilities of change: IT.

Having worn roles ranging from the IT Manager to the more specialised one of Head of Deliverability taught me first of all to deal with the need to use the experience as a helm to guide choices and not as an anchor to remain blocked (or trapped) in one's certainties.

I learned that, as happens on a boat, you are part of a team where the titles reflect only a part of the responsibilities that you have and that you have to take. If the helmsman is responsible for deciding the route, the bowman has the responsibility to facilitate it. Just as the helmsman can read the wind badly and with a wrong manoeuvre, he can make the boat capsize, the same can happen to the distracted or clumsy bowman. And when you are in the water with the boat upside down, all crew members are wet.

What I like to do: Product Manager, (DevOps) System Engineer, AWS Architect, Email Deliverability Consultant.
