I've been programming for around 35 years, in a variety of languages including FORTRAN (does that age me?), C, C++, C#, Perl, Java, and—more recently—Scala.

To say I'm a huge fan of the functional programming paradigm would be an understatement. Scala is my tool of choice: it's a joy to use and keeps getting better and better.
