I am a late 30s Linux user who has never grasped coding. I have been in tutorial rut for years, bouncing from coding language to coding language then giving up. I have now chosen to just stick with c++, after searching which language is best for a beginner a lot of comments have been geared towards c++ as they say its easier to move to another language rather than moving to c++ after learning python or similar. I am trying to create my own programs as i go along, trying to understand the different elements rather than just keep doing tutorials. Already StackOverFlow has been a massive help with regards to Linux, i have never needed to sign up but now with C++ i feel that its required to be more engaging with experienced coders. Very grateful for such an amazing platform.
