After 7 years of academic teaching and research in the Communication field, I now work as an independent data scientist and researcher, as well as a software developer. My professional goals include:

• Answering questions that intrigue me or those I work with or for using solid empirical/statistical analysis;
• Collecting difficult-to-find data using algorithmic solutions;
• Building applications to solve problems I or others encounter.

I frequently publish my findings to my development focused blog at Medium and have been interviewed about my research. While working in academia I published extensively and blended qualitative and quantitative analysis, although I now focus on quantitative work.

I am quite proficient in Python and Swift, including specifically their natural language processing APIs, as well as with SQL (multiple varieties, and interfacing them with all the coding languages I work with). I am currently working on mastering TypeScript and React/Node full stack development, and am constructing a portfolio to demonstrate my proficiency with not only data but with code in general.

I am enthusiastic about working with people, am experienced with online meetings, and am actively seeking relocation.
