I shift gears quickly. It's part of the job. I started off waiting tables. Then, I moved on to designing print materials to managing a business to literally shifting gears in a semi truck. Adaptability is what I do well. It's really a necessity for me. I'm also good at troubleshooting, researching, puzzles, and solving problems. It drives me nuts, if I can't figure something out. That drive and challenge of figuring something out is probably where my passion for technology comes from.

I've always had a love for learning and programming. I remember learning BASIC programming as a child so that I could use my friend's Commodore 64. You couldn't really do very much with programming back then, aside from doing mathematical equations. However, this was the beginning of an unfaltering love of coding that became a hobby of mine. I started using dial-up modems to connect to bulletin board systems and started navigating the Internet using America Online to learn more. Boy! The butt-whoopings I got for running up my parents' phone bill. Hard times...

Eventually, I grew up and decided to pursue my passion in programming by taking up an associate's degree in Computer Information Systems at a local community college. I learned Cisco networking concepts, web design, C, C++, and HTML, but I couldn't jump start a career in IT back then. That eventually led me to reentering the college scene to pursue my passion by getting a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I learned more C++, Java, Python, SQL, data structures, algorithms, software testing methods, CSS, and ARM. I even got CIW Site Development Associate, CompTIA Project+, and ITIL Foundations certifications.

My passion for learning continues today. I've been doing projects and learning new technologies still. In the past, I've worked with SolidWorks, QuarkXpress, QuickBooks, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Currently, I'm working on projects using JavaScript, Node.js, React, Express.js. and Angular. I still have more to learn and more growing to do. I just look forward to the journey ahead and the lessons that I will learn.
