Even though I'm saddled with a host of learning disabilities, they have not stopped me from taking on new challenges. I have to work much harder to grasp what are simple concepts for many people and it takes me much longer to generate results, which is why I probably enjoy my accomplishments more so than most folks.

Even though I do much better at swinging 10 lb sledgehammers, I find programming fun, challenging and a way to help my cognitive abilities (at least I hope it's helping). Having said that, programming for me is a hobby and not something I will ever do for living. But then again... I also frequently go kayaking and am never going to make a living at it either.
