I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay at 1985.
At the age of 14 accidentally discovered the existence of HTML and Javascript while playing with a new computer my grandma bought for the family, and that’s when my passion for programming was born.
The next year I started learning C++ in a local tech school (UTU Buceo), and three years later I graduated from there as “Technological Bachelor in Computer Processing and Maintenance”.
After that period, I begun Computer Engineering career at public University (UdelaR), and in 2006 I got my first job as a Developer at a local company called “Crea/SX Networks”. Met great people there and learned a lot about technology and good development practices.
After almost four years, I changed to The Electric Factory, the biggest software development company focused on advertising in Uruguay at that time. It was a pleasure working there and learning about their passion for details and animations. They definitely took my work as a developer to a whole new level.
In 2010 I finally started Tensai, my own software development company with two partners. We focused on advergaming and mobile apps, mainly for the advertising industry, and I’ve been the CTO from that point. After more than 10 years in this role I had the chance to work in great projects, learning many technologies meeting great people.
Being part of a company as a partner helped me to understand software development from a much more comprehensive perspective, including the vision of the clients, the objectives of the company and times to market.
I'm lucky to say that more than 20 years have passed since I discovered software development, and my passion for coding, for details and for learning remains unchanged.
