I started coding at the age of 10 on my Commodore 64. During my middle and high school years, I coded in many different languages mainly for fun (Pascal, Fortran etc...). During my college years I learned C which helped tremendously with my approach to programming. I majored in industrial engineering and after graduating with first honors, I completed my masters degree in industrial engineering as well.
During my grad school education I was a TA and worked on the application of several real life projects with my proffessors. The projects were quite varied and included fields like airport capacity simulation, perishable good stock cycles, pricing schemas for some major textile brands and supply chain management focusing on warehouse distribution and transportation capabilities. These were mainly optimization problems. Our aim in these projects were to develop mathematical models that would be used by company executives for decision making. During this time I gained experience in some metaheuristic algorithms and simulation methods (mainly genetic algorithm). I used Matlab and CPLEX for implementing the algorithms and VBA for generating Excel reports.
After my college years, me and several friends of mine started mobile development company. We built a social media app for soccer fans. The project failed after 2 years due to lack of funding. After that project, one of the initial co-founders and I found a new partner and started a new company. We focused on developing dating apps and several of them are still on the iOS and Google stores.
