Having completed PhD in Information Technology from Monash University, Australia, Shaila has been a Research Scientist in IBM Research Australia for 7 years. During the period, she has contributed to a wide range of high value projects on Cognitive Analytics, Conversational AI, Risk and Compliance, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) across key industry verticals including Government, Education, and Insurance. Her deep expertise in the above mentioned fields are demonstrated through 22 US patents she has co-invented till date.

After that she has spent ~1.3 years as a Data Science Manager in Capgemini Invent helping customers on their journey towards data transformation with strategic advisory on data strategies.

Currently she has the opportunity to bring together her experience in research, application, and advisory to deliver the best in class Machine Learning application for Foxtel Group.
