This happy coder has not done a lot of software development in recent times, but is getting back into it through React/JavaScript. He has developed in C, and Fortran for work in a process control environment. When he was working overseas in human language development and translation, he used Perl to accomplish rendering interlinear text output of an RTL language from a complex suite of grammar and syntax research tools.
When Happy coder's sons were teenagers, they also were into programming. He worked with them using Scratch, Squeak/Smalltalk, and Object Pascal using Lazarus. He collaborated with one of his sons on an Object Pascal project to transpose music. He originally wrote this piece of software as a command line c++ project, then turned it into a QT project with a graphical interface, and finally into it's present form, known as transposer.
He loves the outdoors, camping, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, cycle-campinng, uincycling. He also loves to sing, play guitar, bass, drums, harmonica (read "harp") to the Creator and Redeemer. And he loves to draw, paint, and make art. The picture is his rendition of a Van Gogh drawing from 1882 entitled "Man reading the Bible".
CHEERS and happy coding to you!
