Professor Steven Murdoch is the head of University College London's Information Security Research Group. His research interests include payment systems and privacy-enhancing technologies, particularly anonymous communication systems. He was the creator of the Tor Browser and continues to be a member of the Tor Project. He is a Fellow of the IET and BCS and a director of the Open Rights Group.
