Hi, i'm Luke!

I'm just starting in the computer field where I always had a noticeable interest but never got the means to pursuit. After a loong, unpleasant 13 year career path in a field where i felt miserable and out of place, I decided to turn this ship around and start grinding towards something that I hope will make me feel as i belong.

Up until now I used Linux rarely and just for "trying for a couple of days" for almost 6 years, now i definetly switched and I'm ready to go deep in it.

I have experience with OpenMediaVault for my home NAS, and I'm learning coding for the first time.

Started The Odin Project and a Web Development Bootcamp for HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and also CS50 in order to have a broader perspective on the landscape and the path I could choose.

My biggest problem has always been choosing which path to take in life, so now I feel kind of lost at the beginning on what to choose and where to start.

I hope learning C will give me a little advantage to learn other languages later on, plus I've already dipped my feet in JavaScript and has helped me understand a bit more how C behaves and is structured, since I felt like C was more abstract for my level of knowledge, while JavaScript got me hands on quite a bit easier.

I hope not to be too pedantic with my questions, and to gather enough knowledge to pay it forward to newcomers, since it sucked for me up until know to depend on others to get NAS, automations and other projects going
