I divide IT workers on two groups. Coders and engineers. Coders have no interest in programming other than making their code work. For all questions, these people just find a quick answer on google which will make their code work. The second type of people are engineers. These are people who think much wider than the first type. They are interested in how things work under the hood. These people realize that coding is an important and essential part of the job, but they also realize how much more there is to learn and understand on top of that.

I aspire to belong to the second type — engineers.
