I am a PhD Candidate in political science whose dissertation work focuses on the relationship between civil society and NGOs on civil war and conflict recurrence. Throughout the course of my research and graduate career, I have utilized statistical programming tools, such as R and Stata, heavily. For years, I have engaged in many data science tasks including:

• Collecting and merging data from various sources
• Cleaning data and preparing final data sets for analysis
• Employing appropriate statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze questions at hand
• Evaluating model output and performance while translating output into accessible language
• Visualizing various model results in an intuitive way to understand
• Using alternative methods, operationalizations of concepts, and out-of-sample prediction to assess and ensure the robustness of results
