I live at the intersection of research, technology, and community. There's nothing that excites me more than making people's lives better through the disruption of legacy processes. For me, disruption is not just about forcing people to do things differently "for the heck of it" - it's about intentionally building in considerations for sustainability, inclusion, and enablement into everything we do.
Before joining Intel, I spent 4 years as a cross-disciplinary geoscientist and software developer. Driven by a desire to bring innovative software solutions to the energy industry, I focused on delivering the best solution-oriented software tools possible. As a software engineering manager, my efforts were focused on democratizing and packaging data-driven solutions in the most user-friendly and intuitive manner possible.
In addition to my primary job functions, I am a community leader in DS&ML for geosciences. I co-founded and am the current chair of the “Data Science and Machine Learning Special Interest Group” of the Geophysical Society of Houston.
