I am a software developer for low-level programming. We migrate data from our customer's expired DMS to be imported into their next one. For this to happen, I 'talk' to devices like WORM Jukeboxes, crack and reverse engineer storage media formats, and proprietary databases. An alternative is our connector technology, where the new DMS only gets metadata imported and then can use our connector library (for Windows, Linux, aix, hp-ux, and others) to directly retrieve the requested documents from the old DMS storage media. I am the inventor, designer, and architect of this technology and its main maintainer.

I work on several open-source projects in my free time and am a Gentoo proxy maintainer for a few select packages.
