I've been working the web since 1995 (actually, I was online before that, if you count hogging time on the terminals at the local library in northern California in the early 90s). I have been doing JavaScript and HTML and CSS since the late 1990s. I'm presently a web producer at Dassault Systemes, focusing on rolling out next-gen web presence.

In my free time, I explore JavaScript, find interesting ideas to explore and problems to solve, and I also do some data visualization, using Processing, D3, Dojo, JQuery, Raphael, Flot, Highcharts, and other various charting programs.

I'm presently fiddling with various packages to see which ones are easiest to implement and have the best documentation. I also am looking for extremely lightweight libraries that don't suck up a lot of round trips. Speed, people, speed!

I guess I'm old-fashioned and believe that just because you have a smokin' system, everybody else does (or they should suffer for being have-nots). Clean and efficient design is born of a seasoned approach.

Complexity does not (always) equate with sophistication.
